I have been experiencing the low tire presure light on in my '04 XE.  I have checked and re-checked all presures and all are good.

The light seems to come on during long interstate runs after about 45 min. of drive time.  My dealer suggested that it may need to be reset.  Anyone else have this issue?

I thank you in advance for your help!

My light came on about 5 miles into my last roadtrip, but my tires had indeed dropped to 30 lbs...after airing them back up to 35 and driving about 2 miles the light went off...GL

Mine comes on after about 30 miles of straight driving. I thought it
was because of the bigger tires on mine but guess not.

I'm wondering if there is any neat little tricks to reset the low tire pressure system. On some vehicles, when you rotate tires, you have to reset by turning the ignition on and off a certain number of times and then you have one minute to either raise or lower the air pressure of the left front tire, then the computer takes over from that point and does the final reset.

I guess the 300 buck shop manual should tell you something on the tire pressure sensors.

My sensors come on when the pressure drops below 32 psi. I was going to to get it fixed since the manual states 28 psi but I don't mind. It keeps the pressure up.

My TPMS lite came on once this winter.  It happened when the temp dropped to close to -25C.  I checked the tires and found that they were all at 30 psi or a touch less.  I pumped them all up to ~35 psi and the lite went off.  I think I like the system, so far.

I was having a problem with my right rear tire continuously losing tire presure, when I took it to the dealership they said that it is probably the preasure sensor in the tire is causing the leak.  Should be an easy fix, will find out later this week when I take it in to get the fuel tank replaced.

mine came on after 7k on mileage, i checked tires and all had 32lbs. im going to bump mine up to 35lbs and see if that does the trick. i think the manual is wrong at 28.

My presure is at 35!  It only comes on during long runs of 45 min or longer.  I can pull off the road and simply turn the engine off and then re-start and the light is off for another 20 min or so...
