Mine goes in next week for the same problem . My guage reads 3/4 MAX even if I fill up to the eyeballs.

Fuel pump, filter, sensor all one assembly. Look at other forums it's a pretty common problem.

Had my pump, sender, filter assembly replaced yesterday. It now reads FULL (when full) and the low fuel light came on at just under 1/8 tank. When I filled up I figure it had about 7 gal left. So I'm satisfied.

True though, the guage doesn't stay at full for very long at all. It comes off the full peg within about 10 miles - that's the nature of the beast I guess.

My father-in-law's tops off at normal as where mines comes up short. I'm wondering if it is giving us correct capacities?

I am having the same issues with inaccurate readings.  I traded a BMW 330xi for this truck, and I do have to say that the guage was hyper-accurate on the Bimmer.  It had a digital display that told me how many miles I had left, and it was almost perfect.
