Hi there....I am the future owner of a Galaxy Black Crew Cab SE with

the works, except for nav.  The hot exhaust in my area seems to be Flowmaster or something like that...I am looking for performance and looks.. Can anyone recommend a great system to get....What do you think looks better....Straight pipes or out the side?

Thanx all

Eric

The Banks System for the Titan and Armada totally rock!

I installed the Banks Monster Power exhaust sytem on my Titan LE K/C
last week. So far I am definitely pleased with the power, but I agree
that it does seem a little loud. Unfortunately the "drone" that others
have mentioned at approx. 65mph has only been made louder. But
overall, I am pleased.

I am quite the newbie at exhaust and stuff...BUT....is this system a DUAL exhaust....the picture shows only one side I think....and it "y's" out instead of coming out a TRUE dual exhaust my friend told me...again...i'm a newbie....

Should the system be welded in?

Thanx all

The Titan exhaust is a dual system back to the 'Y' Pipe. Each manifold feeds its own catalytic converter and a small resonator/muffler, then into the 'Y', followed by the single larger muffler and out the tailpipe.  Both aftermarket systems that I've seen look like they connect at the individual small muffler output flanges.

The stock system looks tailor-made to me for a dual system all the way, but will have to route both pipes on one side due to the gas tank not leaving enough room.   Anybody know of an installation like that yet?

While the stock exhaust is 'OK', the Callibri that I heard was too loud and I didn't like the tone at all, just doesn't sound like a V8.  A buddy in Arkansas says the Banks Monster system scares his turkeys!

I'm looking for dual system that gives a much deeper/throbbing tone that any I've heard yet on a Titan, something like the old Fenton glasspacks on a small-block chevy.

Titan SE King Cab 2WD, Deepwater, RF, Tow, Bed packages.

If someone can fabricate a true dual exhaust for the Titan, then I would be very interested in replacing the stock exhaust. Perhaps something like a chambered pipe exhaust similar to my '69 Z28. Now that's LOUD! Plus, there is just something cool-looking about two tailpipes as opposed to one exiting aft of the back tire.

I'd like to know how much horsepower one gains by adding the Banks cat back exhaust and/or a K&N air charger filter to the Titan. If max hp increased by at least 20 hp, then maybe I would consider the upgrade. Afterall, adding a new exhaust and a new induction system can be done for under $1000. However, if hp goes up by just 10-15 hp, then I don't think it's a worthwhile investment.

Tighten - did you really notice an increase in power?  I have heard that people may lose some low end power w/the banks system.  Do you have dyno sheets, or just the feelin of the big v8 pullin?

I recently got a Titan and had a true dual exhaust put in late last week. My specifications: true dual to be on the quieter side, without compromising any power or performance.

An expert in the area set me up through use of a H-pipe, two Vortecs. and a couple of oval rolled Meg tips. I'm very pleased with it.

I believe, set up this way, anyone could use any two mufflers they wanted to.Nice rear end

Keven, That's perfect, looks awesome, just what I've been looking for!!  Who did the work for you, what cost, and what model Vortecs (mufflers, I assume?).  How's it sound cruisin' at 70-75?  I hope a lot better than stock!!

Dale
