I must say reading these posts is making me nervous. We just bought a Titan with 6k miles on it from an aquantance. My husband had test drove it and loved it. The first time I drove it I was dumbfounded at the fact he didn't mention the "shake" in the sterring wheel upon braking. When I asked him about it he said the owner told him it was from the type of wheels and tires it had on it (20 inch chrome aftermarket) . Not only did it shake like crazy but it pulled to the right. I saw in the glove box from a reciept he just had it aligned. I took it to Big O tires and they told me the rotors were warped. I was concerded but fell in love with the truck anyway...so much I just bought one myself. I came upon this site yesterday and called the Nissan dealership and told them about the brakes and they were fully aware of the problem. I am taking it in this weekend to be "fixed". I am just nervous now I have 2 very expensive problem vehicles. Thanks for your postings, I would have just paid $150.00 to temporarily correct a problem that is very common.

It's first year truck, it's gonna have problems. Atleast your front-end isn't falling out like all of the Dodge owners, and isn't catching on fire like all the Ford owners, isn't costing you an arm and a leg like Chevy, Toyota, and GMC owners. Love your truck, and it will love you.

Yea,

Hang in there and don't worry! I you visit ANY truck forum (i have read most) you will see that no truck is perfect. The big-3 definetly have their problems as well!

They dont have any excuse as they have been building their trucks for over 20 years and still cannot get it right. Our TITANS are but just 2 years old. We will have some teething pains with them, its to be expected with a brand new model. Having a good service department is the key here, and taking it to the dealer whenerever you have a problem. Congrats on your new trucks!!!

I would talk to this aquaintance and see if they have taken it to the dealer at all for repairs...

Good Luck, and BTW welcome to our Forum!!!

Johnboy

They will have a permanent fix for the brakes
