I should have put a "never" selection in...didn't think about that...Sorry...my alarm has gone on and off since I bought the truck in late Sept...it was in the shop for a week to replace both door latches due to not working in cold weather and the tire sensor problem and the mechanic said the tire sensor system is a problem that will not change....I have had it back to the dealer 3 times for the tire sensors !!!!

Put my vote down in the never column as well.  My alarm went off the second day I owned it, but the tire pressure was low, so the alarm worked.  I've never heard it since and it is cold here in Nebraska.

Mine came on once when I bumped a curb, so I checked the pressure and all my tires were at 30psi (so much for pre-delivery) I bumped them up to 35psi (THE RECOMMENDED PRESSURE) and the light went out.  I don't consider this a problem (so I didn't vote in the poll), I consider it a system on the truck that worked as advertised.

As for the guy running 33psi, maybe he should bring them up to recommended pressure and maybe his light will go off.  35psi is hardly overinflated.  The 18" Goodyears have a max pressure of 44 psi at max load.

And as far as adding $1000 to $1500 to the cost of the truck......where in the heck did you get that number?  It's not an option, it's standard equipment on the '04.

Jesus, if you have that many problems with the truck, tire pressure sensors, door handles, windows, brakes, rusty diff covers, etc.... trade it in on a less capable, slower, self-destructing F150.

Sorry to rant, but I get SOOOOO tired of people grousing about these trucks.  If you don't like it, THEN TRADE IT IN ON SOMETHING ELSE.

Again, sorry

Rick

2nd that

That's why I tend stay out of the problems forum. It's not cool to know people of this character roll in the same truck I do. I understand the need vent. More importantly the need to share info should a problem exist. Just not every post guys. If I would have found this forum before I bought my Titan. I probably wouldn't have bought it.  That would have been a shame. I've had mine for a year now. No probs. I've had the window not go up when I hit the switch a time or two. You all know it goes up no prob if you wait two seconds before you start fingering it right?  In the 3 or 4 years I intend to own this truck. I will probably spend about 2 minutes waiting for the window to come back online. Ya it would be better if the problem didn't exist. Now that there is a fix for the prob. I still think going to the dealer is more of a pain than the window. If it was as often as when you hit the key. & hear that sweet sound. I would do something about it. Oh wait, that's a good thing. If it was as often as I feel good about owning it. Oops did it again.

How's this? It's a pain to wash, & she get's thirsty when she runs hard.

Never. Saw the light once never heard anything. It would be cooler if it indicated which tire was low. Nav screen reads 4 seperate tire pressures. Doesn't show tire locations.

Mine came on once for no apparant reason.  Got out gave the tires a kick, they all were hard.  So I restarted the truck and the light has never come back on.  I am even using the spare in my rotation pattern.  I just keep the valve stem close to the wheel well, where the reciever is supposed to be,  but not sure.

I have had two different instances on separate tires. One where the light came on and the tire had 35 psi in it, the next day the light was out. The other, my tire had maybe 5 psi in it and the light didn't come on at all.

I still walk around my truck and check my tires, prior to getting in, to play it safe.

Hard to blow off the last post. Mine has been working according to plan. If your down to 5 psi & you have to kick em you really need this gizmo. A purse too bro. It would be better if the nav screen showed which tire was low but. As long as you know something is up thats all you need. The boy is thirsty enough as it is. Chicks don't know anyway. They just know the wordrobe is headed south when they see it come on the screen.

Hit it like you live.

Maybe I should have mentioned that my tire was basically flat because I drove over a 1/4" drill bit on the job site one morning pulling into work. Minimal air, no light.
