Does this mean I should check my air filter?

After my last post on this thread, I decided to actually check my air filter. It was fine, needed replacing but didn't have any mud in it. In fact the intake was a good 15 inches above the water.

However, I did notice that there was quite a bit of mud splattered throughout my engine compartment. I started to panic until I realized that it wasn't due to any problems with my tires or fenders; the radiator fan was close enough to the water to spray it all over. Looks like I've got some cleaning to do

Hey, sorry it has been so long since my last post.  Anyway his Lawyer was unable to get Nissan to cover it, but he was able to get his insurance to cover it.  So the engine is getting replaced.  He has however changed his mind about keeping it and is going to sell it after all the work is done.

Anyhow, that's all, it's getting fixed and that is what mattered in this story.

I won't be back again unless things change.

later
