Heck, this spring or summer (whichever is appropriate) fire that baby up. If it don't work or stinks head for the dealer. Other than the guy who has a freon (puron) smell, I haven't read of any A/C problems. I haven't used mine yet other than to turn it on occasionally to get the juices flowing. I bought it in October so the weather has not dictated I use it yet. Heck, I may never use it. I like riding with the window down and the heater up full blast in the winter (Austin, TX---pretty mild winters). My former daily driver, an 87 El Camino, has an A/C system that has never worked so I'm used to having the window down in the summer too.
Does that make any since? Just too many brews since I got home.

2-65 A/C? You bet! I have never liked being completely enclosed in a vehicle and always have a window at least partway down unless the weather just absolutely forbids it. I have a 98 Z-28 and it has no drip rails so any water coming off the windshield WILL come into the car at almost any speed. Hate driving it in the rain.
The downside is that when the old lady is with me, rarely, she has to have all the windows up. Bummer, but I respect her comfort.
Gee...I'm SUCH a nice guy

Ran mine whenever the wife was with me the summer last year and really didn't have any problems. A couple of time I did have a bad stench but seemed to go away after awhile. As watsor1 said if it starts acting up take it to the dealer. They are liable for the first 36,000 miles.
Hopefully no one will have any problems with the a/c.

Oh, that's my fault - i completely douched my post about the
puron. Acutally, what's happening to my titan is that on
occassion, when i run the AC, I get this monster odor of radiator
fluid/antifreeze (stupid me forgot that puron/freon has no odor -
duh!). The odor got so bad I had to pull over one time becuase I
thought I was going to pass out. I'm taking my truck in next week
to have it looked it. It doesn't happen often - rarely actually,
but still dangerous to me. So far, from the boards, I''m the only
that this has happened to, so I will keep you all updated.
Thanks!
