I would like to, hopefully, clear up a misconception about headlights.
The Titan does NOT have HID headlights. In addition, the $25 "HID's"
you buy off of eBay are not HID either. Not true ones. A true High
Intensity Discharge lamp requires a ballast and does NOT have a
filement and cost hundreds of dollars. The cheap "HID" lamps, thats
just a marketing ploy. Most standard headlamps are in the range of 35
Watts to 55 Watts. Inexpensive upgraded lamps are in the
neighborhood of 100 Watts. Obviously this does give you more light
out front but despite what you might think, going from a 50 watt to a
100 watt lamp does not give you twice as much percieved light.
A true HID lamp is rated by the light "temperature" not wattage. For
example a 9500K lamp is hotter, "brighter", than a 6500K lamp.
These numbers are the theoretical output of a pure radiator at that
temperature. In other words if you took a piece of metal that gave off
all of its energy as light and heated it to 9500 Kelvins it would look
like that. 9500K does NOT mean 9500 watts. A 9500 watt lamp would
melt the entire front end of the truck. Anyone wanting a more
elaborate physics dissertation please let me know.

Ummm looks like you took care of that subject! Good info.

I use a 1000w HID light for my indoor garden and that baby throws down some serious heat, i couldn't imagine a 9500w system!
