The Mitsubishi Raider IS a Dodge Dakota....just like the Dodge D50 in the 80's was a Mitsubishi produced truck. I believe Chrysler owns a good percentage of Mitsubishi.

Love the SuperTroopers stuff

Hey guys,

Spoosu over at CT posted this article.  It basically talks about the Raider being weak next to the Tacoma, Frontier, etc.

Check it out:

Mitsu has been pushing their luck too far lately.  I'm sure people remember the Eclipse commercial where they made a RX7 bow down!!!!!!!!

That old RX7 would run all over that Eclipse like roadkill.

Import trucks all have one thing in common. They aren't American

Nissan builds their trucks right here in the US.  That's all that is happening with Mitsu.

What makes something American anymore? You have companies that are overseas and own  factories here, and have American companies that have their stuff built in foreign lands? If I own it, to me that's American. Mitsy needs to stick with making TV's and leave the "import" trucks to Nissan and Toyota.

THE RAIDER IS A DAKOTA WITH DIFFERENT SHEET METAL, AND TO ANSWER THE QUESTION, CHRYSLER OWNS 49% OF MITSUBISHI. I SAW ONE ON THE LOT, NOT IMPRESSED, TO GAUGHTY.
