I have a few things that I want to report to Nissan.  I was on the Nissanusa site but in there contact us page it refers you to the dealer.  How do you write an email right to Nissan, bypassing the dealer?  My problems are right from Nissan not the dealer.

Any idea?

Thanks

You can call their consumer affairs line like I did, the number is in your warratny booklet when you purchased the truck. Warning though, they do communicate with the dealer where you purchased the vehicle and work towards a resolution with them if you do not specify otherwise.

MY pads for my truck are in so I go in on Thursday to have them replaced. Its good to hear after they resurface the rotors and replace the pads that it breaks as it should.

As a nissan technician I encounter judder often and It looks like people at Nissan did not install large enough brakes in the front axle. I am sure they will announce something next month. With any brake change there is issues of more braking torque front vs. rear possable master cyl changes and anti lock ability. I hope for all of our sake Nissan steps up and gets this issue fixed soon. J.P.

JP, I think the topic has been discussed elsewhere, and the consensus seems to be brakepad material is at fault.

Still, you're not the first person to suggest the brakes are too small for the Titan.

I overheard a drunk woman at a bar ranting about her Titan: "This thing is a lemon! The front brakes are from the smaller Frontiers!"

I find that fascinating as I've often remarked how my Titan outbrakes every large truck or suv I've ever driven, Toyotas included.

When I called my dealer to set up an appointment to have my brakes looked at, my service writer made a comment that she heard there was a new fix coming and it could possibly be here late next month (that would make it late March).

We'll see (fingers & legs crossed).

Tom
