Gentlemen,
I went to the dealership yesterday to get my airbag light to stop blinking. Its been blinking ever since I removed and reinstalled the radio face plate. They extinguished the light easy enough, but let me know that the light was triggered when I turned on the ignition with the airbag light disconnected from the system (I had the faceplate removed). If you need to remove the faceplate from the dash for any reason, DO NOT turn on the ignition switch. With the airbag light disconnected, the airbag system creates an error message and caused the light to blink. It can't be turned off by anyone but the dealer (or so they say). The dealer didn't charge me anything this time, but warned me that they will charge me $ 95.00 if they have to do it again (as a result of me monkeying around with the system).
