Use a handheld gps.   My GPS shows 61.5mph when I have the cruise set exactly at 60 on my speedo.  That seems to be common on Titans.

GPS doesn't lie!

Considering all Titans are limited by the ECU to 115mph.....because of tire ratings...I would say you all have some speedo innaccuracy or optimistic eyes.  The reason we have to dyno in 3rd gear is in 4th the limiter hits at 115mph and you cant get to dyno to redline.

Well, you really don't know if all of them have a speed limiter.  Some Nissans didn't and some did in the model line up.  Depends on the model you get.  A SE usually does not have a speed limiter that is set low like the rest.  It is usually much higher.  XE and LEs now do usually have a lower one.

I hit 115 in mine and it was still pulling.

You are not correct. The ECU does read the engine speed.  I have had a computer hooked up to the ECU reading the speed of the vehicle and all the other information as well.  Nissans READ the ECU for SPEED and determine when you reach that MAX speed, it will cut the fuel.

Sorry but power at a lower speed has NOTHING to do with the ECU limiting speed.  I have seen a dyno in 4th that abruptly stopped at 115.  You could fool it with larger tires (taller) but the fun is stopped at 115 MPH on our trucks,  You may think your going faster and the speedo may be off a few mph but when the ECU reads 115 thats when the fun stops.  I believe this is because our tires are S rated...114mph max sustained speed. I'm not sure but isn't 4th closer to a 1:1 than 3rd?  I remember a few guys on TitanTalk saying 4th would be the betterl gear if not for the 115mph limiter.

The ECU does not read the speedo and the ECU does not have any type speedometer inside it. It uses engine RPM relative to gear selection. They would have to dyno in 3rd because you could never hit max rpm in 4th or 5th.

I ... 3.83 ... 7.1 ... 43 mph (6100 rpm)
II ... 2.37 ... 11.4 ... 70 mph (6100 rpm)
III ... 1.52 ... 17.8 ... 109 mph (6100 rpm)
IV ... 1.00 ... 27.0 ... 114 mph (4200 rpm)
V ... 0.83 ... 32.4 ... 114 mph (3500 rpm)

Im interested in what the GPS says.

Yeah for another few indicated MPH.......Sorry but  they all are ecu limmited at 115.  They would not take the liability of exceeding the spped the tires are rated for.   The tires are s rated for 115mph and you think Nissan wouldn't get sued if you could exeed that  and blew a tire?

You hacked the ECU code? Right, it takes a army of techs at the performance chip companies months to do that. Sorry not buying it.

Good point, other than a Nissan consult unit how are you hooked into the ECU, what product are you using?

Sure it does. I use some of the most sophisticated GPS equipment made in my job, measures ground speed, air speed(speed relative to air that you are traveling in),wind speed and direction, air temp ect.... and It is not that accurate when it comes to speed. I would beleive my  stock speedo over GPS.
