Occasionally, but not always, when I depress the brake pedal while not
moving there is a very audible "click" from inside the cab near the
brake pedal. I can also feel it in the pedal. When it happens once I
can sit there and click, click, click, every time I press it.
It never clicks when coming to a stop from moving.
Anyone else experience this?

I'm pretty sure the clicking comes from a safety feature tied to the shifter which disengages to allow you to shift only when you have the brake depressed when you're stopped.
I don't have a Titan, but it also happens on my 2002 Acura 3.2 TL.

CLCEM is correct. It is the relay that releases the lock so's you can get it out of PARK. I've also noticed that I can't shift from NEUTRAL to PARK without depressing the brake pedal, same relay setup I guess.

I actually have a click coming from the shifter area when I am slowing down. It clicks around 5 mph. Wierd sound, dealer says its normal. I think this is so annoying. I have a 2006 with only 600 miles and it has been in the shop for 2 weeks of my ownership with many other rattles etc........ Have customer service looking into a fix.

The dealership just replaced my shift interlock switch. I was getting that relay click everytime I pushed the brake pedal, not just when moving out of park or going into park. You can feel it in the shifter also.
It started only in the cooler mornings and eventually went out all together. Had to use the manual overide.

Same problem with my 05 , Dealer said it is normal . The Brake switch for the ALBS sends a message to the computer that there is a difference in the Wheel stopping power especially if you are on a bumpy road, it is the selonoid relay opening and closing
OOHHHH How i love Computers
