I had an interesting thing happen a while ago when I went out to lunch.  When I started the truck, the VDC Off, SLIP, and Service Engine Soon lights stayed on and I had no control of the VDC.  After driving to lunch and restarting the truck, I only had Service Engine Soon and I had control of the VDC again.  Seems like nothing is wrong now except Service Engine Soon.  I am assuming that a code was set in the computer and needs to be cleared....  The question is, why did all that happen in the first place??  The truck was fine on the drive into work this morning.  I guess I'll contact the dealer.  Any similar stories or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Don't know if it's related. Occasionally when I leave for work in the morning I get a loud high pitched beep that lasts for several seconds. Less frequently it will happen twice. The dealer said it may be a bad ground. He made it sound like a fairly common issue. Haven't gone in for fix yet.

Thats interesting. I never took mine in (because it was going to be 2 days before they could take it).  I just took it to Auto Zone and they read the code (which was a dealer code and gave no explaination) and then they cleared it out and I have had no problem since.

I believe that the high pitch sound is a tire pressure warning.  I get that when it gets real hot and you lose pressure in your tires.  If it gets lower than 28 lbs, then that beep will sound when you start the truck...
