I just talked to omy dealer about the brake issue and the fix will be out in April? That is what they say. The will be putting larger rotors and calipers on. I'm already on the list. My service adviser has been great. His name is Mike at 520-618-6500.

From talking to Nissan Consumer Affairs yesterday, they told me that the testing would be complete in April and that it wouldn't be till mid to late summer before they would be able to produce the kits to send out to the dealers.

Do you by any chance know if this will be replaced on all trucks or just the ones with the problems?

Sorry, they didn't tell me that, I would assume all trucks, but they said they would only be sending x amount to dealerships at a time....

Well, I got my first call from Nissan's arbitration department today. They said that the rotors were in the final stage of testing but that it would be a couple of months before they would be released. They offered to have an engineer from Nissan repair my truck again (as if an engineer would help, aren't they the ones who started all this mess in the first place??!!) to tie me over and also offered an extended warranty. Stick a fork in me I'm done. It took them 2 weeks after my claim with the BBB just to get them to make such a lame offer. I am holding out for the Buy-back, I've had it!!!

I had a chevy bought back and they took me to the cleaners. Nissan knows there is a problem and they will fix it. All of the other trucks have bigger problems(chevy-motor,dodge and ford both have transmission problems). They blame the problems on the owner.Let Nissan come out with the new rotors and see what happens.

At least for me, Nissan is doing a much better job on customer complaints and rectification than chevrolet (my last truck) or Ford (my best friends truck). I understand that once you have reached that breaking point, then THAT'S IT. I've been there. Good luck!!
