I just bought my Titan about a month ago, I want to mod it just a bit and I was thinking about an intake, I already ordered the banks exhuast and I am waiting for it to come in. My question is which intake is best and where can I get one at a good price?

Where does your EAM intake pic up it's air? Most intakes I've seen terminate in the engine compartment and pickup the warmed up air that has passed through the radiator and cavitated in the engine bay. My stock air box terminates in the wheel well outside the engine bay where it gets much cooler air. I'm a bit skeptical about the benefits of intakes that draw from heated air. Colder air is denser and should provide more power.

You know I finally settled for the Volant intake because of what Mavryck said about the intake filter staying in the engine bay. The Volant hooks up like the stock air box into the wheel well and Volant offers a cold air tube that runs down to the front of the truck like a true cold air, however this option so far only fits the XE model, I drive a SE but im sure they will figure it out soon enough. Also I found that the Volant out performs most other intakes, I am not sure if it out performs with the box itself or with the cold air tube attached. And for those of you who take your Titan off road I dont know if I would go with the Volant with the tube I would be afraid of sucking up mud and water. The only down side is the price it is more expensive than the other intakes.....I ordered mine from www.hopupracing.com its the cheapest I have found.

Got a volant intake on my SE. I pulled it out to look it over and clean the filter and found that there is a 3" hole in the bottom of the box as well as the one coming in from the fender. I originally tried to install some ducting from the bottom of the box to somewhere else, but the exhaust manifold is right there. I ended up just stuffing an aerosol can top into the lower hole and going with the fender air only. Mine was installed for me and didn't have any sort of rubber seal from the box to the fender. There's about a 1" gap where engime compartment air can enter. I'll figure it out and post.
I just found this link for a CAI scoop:

My truck shifts at that range as well, and so do many other trucks. So that sounds about right.

The CAI air scoop from what I understand will only fit the XE models, if you find out different let me know. I used a flex pipe purchased from midas and ran it down it was a pain to do but I got it done.
And as far as warranty goes the parts guy at the dealership tried to sell me one. And the warrenty guy says that as long as the part does not cause the problem then it is ok.
