Anyone have experience to share towing a travel trailer? Load cpacity for 4-6 week trips is the biggest question.

Just came back from a weeks holidays pulling our 18' travel trailer
through the Canadian Rockies. Trailer weight is 3500lbs dry, gotta be
about 5000lbs full load by the time we add the other stuff in the back
of the truck, etc, etc.
It was HOT going through there and the engine or tranny temp never skipped a beat.
Happy to report NO PROBLEMS (other than that damn annoying part throttle squeel!!)

Holiday weekend pulling 30" travel trailer weight 7500lbs, no problems to reports. I have 21500k in the speedometer pulling I think I have pull over 3000k miles on it. An like Mike said Damn annoying part throttle squeel

Thanks for the info  . I just weighed my set up yesterday - Truck 5700#, Trailer 7740#. Tongue wieght 1040#. I have an Equal-i-Zer hitch and just can't get the nose of the truck to come down. Truck power is nothing short of impressive. Anyone know what I'm looking for

Thanks. The system I have is identical to the ones you suggest. The brand I have is Equal-i-Zer, 10,000# trailer, 1200# tongue weight. Someone has suggested air springs but I'm not so familiar with them.

You should try first the spring leaf helper, is very ease to install and very cheap. You can find it in autozone, or any auto parts store. Help these will help

The air springs/bags are very easy to istall and do not hamper the ride of the truck. I love them. The spring does the same thing but seems to takes a little squatting before they start helping.

I've got friends that have all the major brands. They all seem about the same to us. Dont understand the second question. the amount of sag i think you are refering to is determined by the air pressure you put in. That is the beauty of it. you put in the amount of air for the load that you have.
