Maybe, or maybe not true, but my salesman said some of the design team came to the dealer when the truck first came out. He said the engineer that designed the exhaust system was sort of a redneck/nascar freak. The engineer talked extensively about how he re-made the exhaust system over and over and over until it sounded just right.
Good job I say.

I've gotten people asking what exhaust I put under the truck, and I just say that it is stock. "Man, I wish mine sounded as good stock," is what they say afterwards.

I think Nissan came out with everything that guys "add-on" after we buy a truck. They did this by partnering with the leaders - Rancho shocks, BFG, etc - add to that a loud and killer exhaust note. This addresses our desire to tack on a flowmaster. Give a customer what they want when they want it and you will have no problem selling the product.

I am still going to plan for a Borla upgrade. I really like that note.
