Ok, here's whats going on.  I have been researching these lovely titans for quite some time now.  Im wanting to get a used titan, i've found some pretty good deals on them.  Now im hearing all about these brakes and rotors etc etc.  Now in order to get this titan, im going to have to put my negative equity of my old car into this titan..it's really a lot of trouble to do it, and it's gonna cost me more money.  so here's the question, is it worth it?

All due respect, I think only you can make that decision. I love my '04 Titan SE KC. Unfortunately if I were trading autos today I couldn't justify buying a Titan (or any other large truck/SUV). My personal driving needs doesn't require a large vehicle and I couldn't justify the expense or added fuel costs. As much as I like my Titan, if I were trading today I would prolly be test driving a 4 cyl Altima or a Camry. If you feel comfortable trading a vehicle you are upside down on, and you have the financial means to shrug off $60+ tankfuls...I don't think you can go wrong with a Titan ....Also if you are buying a used Titan from a dealer, I'd make them address any TSBs as part of the deal.....gl...keep on truckin.

I HAVE HAD EVERY TRUCK UNDER THE SUN. ROTORS AND BRAKES HAVE BEEN A PROBLEM ON ALL OF THEM. AFTER I GO THROUGH MY STOCK SET I PUT ON DRILLED AND SLOTED ROTORS AND UPGRADED PADS. THEN AGAIN I PULL TRAILERS! DO YOU?

IMHO, I would NEVER buy a used Titan, or any other used vehicle for that matter.  They are prone to a lot of new model problems as indicated in this forum, and you might not be able to take advantage of any warranty that might be left on it.  And these are not your grandfather's trucks.  They are electronically highly technical trucks that are difficult to fix in the driveway.  Crap, I can't even find the distributor (not that it has one)

With rare exceptions vehicles on used car lots are there because the owners got rid of them because of problems.  If my Titan gave me problems and caused me a lot of hassel running back and forth to the dealer, I'd dump it in a heartbeat.  Even if I took a beating on the trade.  BUT, I'D BUY ANOTHER TITAN.

I don't like to be bothered by vehicle problems and have traded new rides in as little as 9 months.  Vehicles that have been reliable, I've kept till the wheels fell off.  I'm 55 years old and have been driving and owned vehicles since I was 15 (well I obviously didn't own anything 'till I was 18).

Just my 2% of a dollar.
