Traded in my 2000 GMC reg cab long bed last week for a Red Brawn SE Crew Cab.  I just wanted to say Hi and introduce myself.  I really wanted to like the new F-150, but the test drive really disappointed me.

I got the truck for $31500 OTD (big tow, utility bed, popular captain, floor mats, splash guards, and bed extender).

One question about the tow package.  My last truck had the standard 4-pin connector for the trailer lights.  The Titan has this round 7-pin jack that incorporates electric brakes, etc.  Is there an adapter I can buy to mate up with the 4-pin connector on my trailer?

Rob

if you've got soldering or crimping skills, i'd recommend going to your local RV store, picking up a male 7 pin receptacle and a 4 pin, then making an adapter harness between the two.  that will allow effortless and convienent hook-ups no matter what type of trailer you use.

Hwere's a good source for diagrams:

Thanks for the suggestion and wiring diagram.  I also finally got around to flipping through the manual and it mentioned that any auto parts store will have an adapter.  I'll drop by the local Pep Boys and see what they have.  If it looks cheap then I'll probably make my own.  Soldering is no big deal since I'm an electrical engineer .
