Hey I just picked up my 05 Titan SE today.  I paid 30100 under invoiceI got smoke the popular package with captins, Big tow, and the bed package.  The truck is sick, its my first truck, I am gonna be using it to tow my race trailer with. Anyone suggest anything to do to ensure a happy life? Other than regular maintance obviously. THanks

Howdy doo!! Congratulations on the new truck. The first thing I would do is check and drain the differential fluid. If you got 4wd check and change the front differential too. Other than those two items that is all I can think of. Maybe some others will chime in and give some more suggestions. The Moderator team and others on the board will be more than happy to help you out if the need arises. Welcome to nissantitan.info!!!

Welcome to the show!

I think bigbear05 covered the basics, so just ask and we will try our best to answer. There is usually at least one member who can answer.

Bigbear, why change the diff fluid so early?  Have a truck with just under 1K, and want to make sure I do not miss a problem........Thanks

You may want to check the fluid to see if you are at the correct level. Their have been stories of the differentials being underfilled from the factory and rear-ends burning up. If you are planning to do alot of towing as the guy that started the thread planns on doing, You may want to change over to a synthetic blend that would provide more protection against wear and tear. As a precautionary I would go and check the diff. fluids. Front and rear (if you have 4wd). I checked mine after I first started hearing about it and yep, sure enough low. Make sure that you do get the manufactures recommended viscosity. It can be found in the owners manual. I hope I have answered your question.
