OK-I was watching one of those hot rod TV shows this morning and caught a piece on the new F150 Stage 3 from Roush (you know... Ford's performance pimps). At least I think it was a Stage 3 (many buds down by that time of the AM).
Anyway, this thing was 2WD extended cab, supercharged, lowered, dubs, etc putting out 405 HP and well over 400lb/ft of torque (460 I think). Available through Ford dealers for around $50k.
Funny thing though, they clocked it at 0-60 in 7.4 sec when Consumer Reports, CONSUMER REPORTS mind you, rates the crew cab 4x4 at 7.3 sec 0-60.
A stock Titan 4x4 faster 0-60 than a Stage 3????
Granted, these things are almost a full second faster in a 1/4 mile, but can you see staying ahead of one to the next redlight?
If Ford has to sell the Stage 3 for 50k (you better believe there's no discount) and it performs that weak against a Titan...well what can I say?
