So I went to uhaul to rent a tow dolly to tow my broke down ford with my NEW TITAN. I have an 88 F150 and they told me that it exceeded the tow capacity of my truck and that it was to wide for ether the tow dolly or there trailer. Any one else have any problems with uhaul?

I'm confused...They dont make a tow dolly for a full size truck???...and furthermore the Titan is rated to tow up to 9500 lbs!!!????

I told the lady at Uhaul that the Titan is rated to tow up to 9500 lbs and she read it to me off her computer that said the vehicles to be towed exceeds the weight capicity of the towing vehicle. I was pissed I really do not want to have to pay a tow truck driver or anyone else to do this for me. I live in San Diego does anyone know where I can rent a tow dolly or trailer that will work for towing an f150?

Just a thought...since the Titan is a fairly new model. In some of my searches for various aftermarket accs for my Titan I have found the only listing in some online websites and in ref. manuals to be for a Nissan "pick-up" ....which is the Frontier ....maybe thats what she pulled up on her computer.

That might be UHauls problem. They may lump all Nissan pickups in the same look up. You might want to try and contact UHaul corporate to see if they can assist you in getting the issue resolved. You can also Try Big 4 Rents but that is a long shot, sorry I don't have any more ideas.
