Hello Everyone

First, I just want to say what a great site this is and how much it has helped me already.

My question is about the advertised ground clearance of the Titan.  On the Nissan homepage, it says that the 2005 Titan:

Min Ground clearance @ Rear Differential  10.3inch

Min Ground clearance with off road package  11.3

I recently measured my clearance at the oil pan guard (the lowest point) on my 2004 Titan that has the Off-Road pkg.  I dont think there is a difference between the 2004 and 2005 ground clearances.  Does anyone know if this is true?   Also, my ground clearance was 9.5 inches at the oil pan guard.  Does anyone else have a similar problem, and is this something I should talk to the dealership about?  I am pretty concerned with this discrepancy.  The way I read it is that since I have the off-road pkg, I should have a "min clearance" of 11.3 inches at the lowest point on the underside of the truck.

Other problems I have had:  Low Rear differential oil, overhead console cracked, seat cover coming apart, drivers side door molding bent, armrest has something protruding from it, realigment, rattle is dashboard, rear window molding loose, wind noise from side view mirror with big tow pkg, tape markings on roof that had to be rubbed out.

Thanks, and I hope to get a few quick responses because I am going to bring it in again in the next few days.

Anyone reading this...PLEASE, PLEASE help me.  I am bringing mine in tomorrow and need someone with similar packages to mine to let me know so I know if this is a recurring theme.  I have the Big Tow, 4WD, Off-Road Pkgs.  Thanks so much if you can help me out by the end of the night

I went out and measured my '04 LE 4X4 with no packages for you in the rain:)

I measured with equal tire pressure all four corners, 1/2 tank of fuel, no passenger and very little cargo in the back seat ~50lbs.

Ground clearance at lowest point in front was at the skidplate covering the bending section of anti-sway bar which was 9.75" and the clearance at the lowest point in the rear is at the pumpkin fill/drain screw which is also 9.75".

Other then those two points, there are no low points though.  I hope this helps.

Ron

Edit: Sorry to hear you are having problems...  I will be checking my tranny fluid and gear oil tomorrow now.  I also have cracked plastic inside the sunglass holder of the overhead console.  I hope you get things squared away to the point you are content.
