After doing a little research I found a few oil fiters that are supposed to work with the Titan.
Fram has a PH7317 and a TG(toughguard)7317
K&N is: HP1010
Amsoil is: SDF13
Fram also has a air filter listed in the Air Hog style: PPA7440
Could not find a NAPA filter on line, but with these numbers you might be able to cross reference one at a NAPA store.
I'm going to change my oil this weekend, so I might try going to NAPA and try to find one after I check out how much clearance I have for a larger filter.

Mobil 1 also has a filiter that works but I'm at work and not
going to go see what number it is. Its listed in the book at AutoZone
though.

Ok, went to NAPA today and came up flat busted. The only filter they could confirm was only a half inch longer and the same diameter as the Nissan oil filter. But the NAPA/Wix oil filter was around 9 bucks, verses 7 bucks for the Nissan filter. The oil filter number for the NAPA is 1356. I changed my oil today (at 3000 miles) to Mobil 1 10w-40 green cap. synthetic. I normally run about 8000 miles between changes, but with this small of a oil filter, I'm going to swap out the filter at 4000 miles and just add back enough oil to bring it back to full on the dipstick. This oil filter has got to be the puniest, most pitiful oil filter for a large truck I have ever seen! My Yamaha Roadstar has a bigger filter than this! Well, almost anyway!

Folks,
Is there any problems with going with a larger oil filter? If it seals up whats the problem? I have done that for years with my other vehicles and have had no problems at all, i am just trying to get that little bit of extra capacity for better cooling.

I have not heard of any issues unless the bust pressure is lower in the
larger filter. Why are you using 10/40? Nissan is pretty specific
about the weights needed for the VKs. Do have an issue already?

Well, I would love to go to a larger filter. This is what I am after. But I cannot find one that has the same specs. as the original that IS larger. If you do, please let me know what kind of filter it is.
As far as oil viscosities go, the manual clearly states that you can use 10w-40w if the temperatures do not drop below 0 degrees farniheight. I live in central Florida where temperatures vary rarely drop into the twenties, but in the summer approach the 100 degree mark. Even the 15w-50w Mobil 1 oil with pour at a temperature of -50 degrees f.

Nissan has such tight tolerences with these motors that I thougth you
might use that weight after 30k. Its yours to do with as you wish,I'm
not trying to piss anyone off.

I guess my words came across stronger than I wanted. Didn't mean to sound mad. That's not the case at all. Sorry if they sounded that way. I like input from other owners, heck that's the reason we're all here is to learn from each other!

K&N 1006 also fits. As far as oils go viscosity isn't as important as the API rating, if you live in a moderate climate (above 20 degrees f) the first number in a multi weight doesn't matter much. The higher the first number, the thicker the oil. For cold climates you want a thin oil (5w30). The higher the second number is, the higher the heat tolerance of the oil. 10w30 and 10w40 have the same flow characteristics but 10w40 will withstand higher temperatures.

Here in South Carolina the Nissan dealers are putting 10W40 in the engines. Tempature wise we are not much different from Florida. Maybe just a little colder in the heart of winter.
