2004 titan king 4x4 no big tow or off road. started with getting 11.5 mpg. now with 2200 miles I babby it and get 10.6 mpg. had the roters turned at 1000 miles. I thoght my mileage problems would be over. I avoided the big tow p. &off road for the mileage and comfort. I know people with the exact same truck that get much  higher mileage. my dealer says it is still breaking in or try higher octain gas. confused where to go from here. I did add ad an air hog air filter but no change.

I have big tow with off road and I get 13mpg on winter gas (more methanol) here in Colorado. This past summer I was getting ~15mpg. On a side note my Honda drops about 3mpg in the winter also

I have the same poor gas mileage. After reading several of these post it appears we are not alone. I haven't decided if that it good or bad. I have an 04 SE 4X4 with 2300 miles. I have just started checking my mileage and I average 12.5 mpg. My driving is an equal split between city and highway. I keep telling myself that with more miles it will improve.

I tried using premium octane fuel (93) and the mileage did improve by 2 mpg. Unfortunately the cost to value ratio is not worth it. I live in Ft Lauderdale. There is a 30 cent difference per gallon between regular and premium. After filling up with 25 gallons it just doesn't make sense. You may want to try another brand / dealer of fuel if you regulary purchase from the same store. May sound strange but my Chrysler 300 loves Shell gas. Runs like crap on everything else.
