I am at 1100 miles. I have had no warning lights come on,
but...it is strange you mention the drivers window not wanting to raise.
I was at the toll booth last week and as I was leaving, I hit the auto
up. The window did not go up. I thought maybe I
hadn't lifted the switch enough. I tried it a second time
and it still didn't raise. I was about to pull off the highway,
when, on my next attempt it went up just like normal.
I thought I was losing it for a sec, but maybe I want. That was the only incident I had with the window.
Again, not a single other problem.
I actually just dropped the oil on it this last weekend. I had to
order a special oil filter wrench off the internet cause those filters
are so small, but otherwise, I love this truck!

Hi;
I bought my Titan in January 04, and it was a great truck till March. I just got it back a couple minutes ago from the shop for the 5th time, and I am still not comfortable driving it. I just had the brakes and rotors replaced under 5,000 miles. This is the second time it was in for brakes. The first time was at about 1,000 miles and they had to relace the pads, so I am really not impressed with the truck.
Another thing that buggs me is that I have to press the drivers window a number of times(sometimes) in order to rise it.
Also, the Titan has been in the shop for a switch that controls the battery going bad, which enabled the truck to start. This happened around 3,000 miles. I am worried about it when I get to 10,000 miles, or if the truck stays together that long.
It is funny, because they say it is the 04 off road truck of the year, and I can not even get it to run right on the streets. Oh yea my bed liners is bubbling up all around the edges, so everyone watch their bedliners.
I should have kept my F-150. |

man im sorry to hear of your issues im a nissan service manager and we have had very few issues and those that we have seen have been very quick fixes
as far as whishing you had your ford back thats a harsh statement lol
i have had alot of vehickes including a ford f150 dodge ram 1500 and a silverado
and the titan out does them all in a big way so far i dint even think the so called american trucks stand a chance against the titan
sounds like you need a new dealer to deal with that can take care of your issues in a timely manner you have a great truck power comfort size etc that is equal to or exceeds all the other 1/2 ton trucks built hope you get the issues handles properly soon so you can enjoy what you have

Spaceollee:
Really sorry to hear all your troubles, but I know we all want to hear everything about experiences with the Titan, both good and bad. Thanks for letting us know your issues.
I presume your dealer has been very helpful in resolving all your issues so far, or not?
Have they made any comments about how much you have had it in the shop?

I too have had similar problems with the windows not going up. Not only will the auto up not work but holding the button up wouldn’t work either. I think around the third or fourth try it just worked. Never could duplicate the problem but I do remember it happening around three different times. Once was in the rain…
Just turned 1200 miles.

Regarding the window issue, I had the dealer change the switch bank then the window motor and it still didn't resolve the problem. The dealer then checked some other trucks on the lot and found the same problem. Apparently nissan is working on the issue. You will find that if you pull back on the switch while you are lifting the switch up it will roll up the window every time

Not sure if I should start a new thread but this goes along the same lines...
Has anyone notice the RPM stay up about 200-300 RPM's above where there should be. At 60MPH the RPM's are about 1500 RPM's but sometimes they are up at 1700-1800 RPM's this is on a straight flat road. If I speed up passed 70 and then let it come down on it's own it come down to 1500 and hold there. There is an Audible difference in the Exhaust note so I know it's not just the Gauge.
Anybody else notice this? I'm having dealer look into it on Wednesday as well.
BTW, Dealer Dinged My truck! They bumped the Front left Corner of the bumper and denied they did it. My wife was picking up the truck after "Rotor Fix" for warped rotors. She had to fight with the manager and finally the agreed to fix it.
