When I frequented this site back in sept, I saw a few posts regarding the poor brake quality that our trucks have. I could only hope that I would not have this problem. Heh heh.... well now that reality has kicked in for me that I am not immune to bad luck, I will be getting the full brake job tomorrow that NISSAN is doing for the TITANS with this issue. I have had very bad vibration in the steering wheel at light braking and violent shutter throughout the truck under highway braking. The shutter was so bad that one of my CDs in the player skipped off the internal tray and has jammed up my CD player. The NISSAN dealership is in Great Falls MT. They are going to: Replace the front rotors and pads, replace the rear pads and turn the rear rotors. On top of that, they will check my differential for problems. I have a slight leak comming from the Diff and I have heard stories that the TITAN diffs, especialy the off road diffs, have been failing. Oh well. At least I dont have to pay for it.

sorry for the delay. I'm in the air force and well....y'know *shrug*. Anyway, the brakes were on re-call and the replacement was a heavier duty upgrade in front rotors, brackets, pads front and rear and the rear rotors turned. My diff checks out fine, but the reason it was wet was because my transfer case somehow started leaking and was completely out of fluid. Luckily I only use my 4WD in short bursts(winter). They replaced the failed seals for no cost from me. So far everything has been going well accept recently I have been getting some very soft feedback from the brake pedal. Spongy feeling almost like there's air in the lines. I checked the fluid and its full and clear. I'll have to ask the Nissan dealership about it.

I have a : 2005 NISSAN TITAN XE crew cab, 4x4, not off road equiped, aluminum finned pumpkin(diff cover), No towing packege, pretty much base model with power everything and the 6CD rockford stereo, galaxy black no chrome....I think thats about it.
