Any thoughts about the new EEG 85% Ethanol gas W/15% gasoline added to it.  In some states ie--Florida for example there are no stations that have Ethanol.   We, here in South Dakota mainly have the ethanol added to the gasoline in a small % useable for regular engines since it takes a special engine strickly formulated for the EEG type fuel.   I know the Titan for 2005 was avaiable with that sort of engine.

I stand corrected.   I also should have called it E85, not EEG 85, not sure where I got that.

I have heard that when you run the E85 you get half the gas mileage you normally get. Is this true? There is only one station in San Diego CA with E85

I don't think it is half the mileage with E85 but it is less, how much less I'm not sure.  It would be worth looking into.

Fuel milage is less but you get a little more HP.  E85 is a little cheaper but not much due to the current shortages of ethanol.  Those who have used it claim it ends up costing more per mile.  The reason MPG is low is because a flex fuel vehicle is only ethanol compatible, its not optimized to run on it.  If it were I'm sure the opposite would be true with gasoline.  You find stations that carry it and more info on ww.e85fuel.com.
