FYI -- Add another on the list. Braking is acccompanied by the steering wheel and column moving rapidly from right to left and even worse if braking on a corner...

This is a huge problem if you have 4 people and some stuff in the back because it is severly amplified and feels like a big issue but they assure me that it is not a problem yet.... I have 6000 miles

sike. Looks like it's time for another poll. How about you have to post vin# that goes to a moderators PM box to vote. That should keep the big three fans out. It will make it worth doing If there is enough ligit complaints too. My truck has been excellent. No flaws. Excluding fm reception being less than perfect. I never would have known I was rideing around in such a bucket of crap. If I hadn't found this site. If there is a problem, one guy complaining won't get it. Vin#s mean Real #s to Nissan. A poll with out them is a waist of time. 70% of the people in this house never post anything but complaints. Does that mean 70% have no complaint? Consider # of views to posts. It seems like crap to have to do this. I'm going to pull the wheels on my brand new truck. & Make sure the caliper pins got greased, so I don't. Looks like I bought in to the cry fest.

Do the poll. We owe it to the truck. We owe it to our selves.

So in reality this is not a national recall its merely a problem with your truck correct...just trying to clarify

Jay the service manager said it is a national recall and they are on national back order.
I don't understand your VIN polling importance.

That was my bad. Read your post. Other than the title. There was no mention about it.

Joeycrack. Delete my previous post when recall is varified please.

Titan up Rynehill. Look where the info is comming from. At the dealer as well. Service maneger is hear say. No. Concrete worker thank you very much. I do hope I'm not the only one jumping the gun though.

Since I'm looking bad already. What the hell does lol mean?

per intellichoice and the nhtsa websites I can find nothing that indicates this is a national campaign on recalling the Titan yet, however I did find a technical service bulletin that follows your problem closely

NTB04066

IF YOU CONFIRM: While braking, especially when braking at highway speeds: · A steering wheel shake, · Body vibration, or · Brake pedal pulsation (also known as "brake judder"). ACTIONS: · Use an On-Car Brake Lathe to "turn" (resurface) the frontbrake rotors. · Install new front brake pads. · Apply "special" grease to the brake pad retainers. · "Burnish" the brake pads. See this bulletin for further detail.

I pulled up next to a fella that has the exact same truck as mine.  He has 11K miles and I have only 1K miles.  He said around 5-6K he had some shimmy.  The dealer put on better brake pads.  It appears by what he said to me that they are using soft pads that are not holding up.

Mine has 5k on it, and does it a little bit.  I'll call the dealer and see if they'll replace the pads.

I am getting my pads replaced by the dealership for free tomorrow. not sure if it is all four but I believe it is just the front they are replacing. They are also checking the chronic front right alignment problem and trans. slip on accelerating.. hope it's not a lemon.

I just got off the phone with my dealer - I played dumb and they didn't give me a line of baloney!  That felt good!  They even said there was a TSB out on it.

They said they'll turn the rotors "on the car" and put another set of pads on...

FYI for everyone out there, don't get disgruntled about this, every new car has some weird things go on.  And it seems like Nissan is stepping up to the plate about this...
