Just wanted to let you know, and this may have been posted, that Sirius can be installed in the Titan.  I had mine put in at Grubbs Nissan in Bedford Texas and it works great through the factory radio.

One nice feature, they used an antenna that is mounted on the inside of the front windshield near the mirror.  Reception was very good on a recent trip from Dallas to Atlanta and it looks very nice.

What  year is your truck?  The burning question is whether the Sirius can be installed with the factory radio in the 04.  It is definitely available in the 2005.

Factory Sirus or Factory XM can be installed in the 04.  The only issue is that the early 04 requires the replacement of mounting brackets inside the dash (for SIRUS or XM).

I went with Sirius because I had XM in my chevy and never listened to it. The format didn't grab me. I heard Sirius and was hooked! Nissan finally has the option listed on their web site but when I got my Titan, I had to ask for it because they didn't advertise it at the dealership.

Then why does Nissan and the dealer keep telling me otherwise?  They insist that only the XM is available for the 2004...

The Nissan Guy probably doesn't know what he is talking about.  XM was first released and marketed for the NISSAN digital upgrade.  Therefore all the liteature is from XM.  However, the XM and SIRUS connect the same way and are the same size.  Though an N-BUS connect which is in the dash under the steering wheel.  I brought my XM off EBay second-hand from a guy who replaced it with SIRUS becuase he wanted to listen to NFL games.  There is some retailer that sell the tuner for around $175.00 on Ebay, diffently cheaper than the $400.00 from the dealer.  If you have an earlier model, it will require the mounting brackets replaced, the brackets cost about $20.00 but it is a pain.  I factory antennea work great, and you can find them for $50.00 - $75.00, expense but nice.  It installed on the rear window in the driver-upper side .... out of view from the rear mirror and side mirror and low enough to fit in a garage.

If there is anyone who has had a dealer install a Sirius factory radio in a 2004, please pass along your delaer contact info.  That way I can get my dealer to call your dealer (sounds like 'Let's Make a Drug Deal').

Thanks in advance,

KL

Has anyone seen how this looks with the factory radio?  Meaning do you still only get 1 line of display?  Do the song titles scroll? and do you only get 6 presets or does the sat have 2 like FM1/FM2?

I purchased a SIRIUS sportster about 2 months ago, but have not got around to installing it yet.  I would much rather have a cleaner install and use the factory radio at the same time.

Thanks

Wan

The Sirius Factory install has only one line of display. But by pressing the right hand knob you can select Artist or title. If the label is too long for the display, use the right knob to scroll to see the rest of the display. You can also designate if you want the main display to show channel name, channel number, artist name or song title. As far as the program buttons go, There is A-B-C. I have A setup for local stations and I setup B & C for Sirius stations.

The only thing I didn't like is that you access sirius by pressing the radio btn, scrolling thru AM, FM and SAT. I wish there was a SAT btn like they had for XM. That way you could have an A-B-C for SAT only. Other than that little gripe, I love it! No low volume like you would have thru the input jack. The sirius seems to have a little more bass to it than the radio or CD. The SAT antenna is mounted inside the vehicle just in front of the rearview mirror. Nice and clean and not blocking your view!
