I have been looking for a new truck for number of months. THE PROBLEMS with the 2004 Titan have they been corrected for the 2005 Titan? Like the AC noise it sounded like a resperator. There were a few others. I just test drove a 2005 and I love it. I will be watching this forum to see what  2005 owners have to say.

Me too, I'd like to hear from 05 owners as to the rotor warping problem.  If they have fixed it for 05, then it's time for the 04 owners to raise some h*** and get the 05 brakes.

Only had mine for 2 weeks. (750 miles) No problems yet (knock on wood). I love my crew cab. Talked extensively with service writer at the dealership before purchasing the '05. He assured me that Nissan had done their homework and remedied many of the recurring problems that had been reported. Doesn't mean they won't still have some problems, but there is a definite improvement over the '04. Good luck with yours and keep us posted.

Yeah, I got fed the same line too.  Seems the dealers cant get their info straight.  All I KNOW is my 05 is doing EXACTLY what my wife's 04 has done.

Oh, and here's an e-mail from Courtesy Nissan (In texas I believe...good parts guys)

The brakes were always Bosch and that's a very general claim. I think parts of the brake system are Bosch (ABS and other controllers) but as you go out to the simple parts like master cylinder, brake lines, calipers, rotors & pads it's iffy.

A lot of people have had judder 1,2,3 times but the same Nissan OE parts just keep getting replaced. I haven't yet heard of one person yet who changed the pads or rotors to something completely different -AND HAD THE JUDDER COME BACK.

Many are starting to try different pads, Carbotech, Stillin,Akebono and slotted & drilled rotors by a variety of sources.Mostly because they've just became available.

Let's see how these work - a simple change in pad type/material my fix this problem for most.

I have an 05 here, been driving it for about a month now (978 miles) and have not had a problem with the brakes yet. Although after reading some of the threads here I was a little scared and took a look at them the other day, while there was a bit of wear on them (which is to be expected as I am a tad bit heavy footed on the breaks) I don't see any problems.

Additional, while the breaks are technically the same in the 04 and 05 model, I have heard that the manufacturing of them at the nissan plant has changed out and fixed the problem.  I am not sure if this is true or not and I don't know if anyone else has heard something similiar.

I just bought an LE Quad Cab. I have 525 miles on it. I drove everything and I really like the truck. Leather interior loaded out. I have a lot of tire dust and other oily looking stuff around the fenders. I guess this is normal I may have ran through something. The wheels are dirty as heck also. Some of this is brake dust I guess. The truck is fast. Faster that the hemi in a quarter mile. Texas had a shootout at Texas Motorspeedway and the Titan won the half mile race.
