Is anyone noticing that the ABLS (Nissan's version of the limited slip) does not activate all the time? I tested the ABLS during the recent snow storm here on the east coast. I can only get the ABLS to activate 1 out of 8 times.
I also tested the ABS brakes during the storm. After a full skid, the pedal mashes to the floor like there is no pressure. I actually pumped the pedal to get pressure back.
I took it to the dealer and they are working with Nissan's technical service department and I do not have any answers yet. When I took it to the dearlership with this problem, I shut the truck off with the brake pedal depressed and it mashed to the floor. The service write-up technician said it was normal. I know it's not and I am not even a mechanic. I have tried to duplicate the problem without any luck.
The dealership agrees that the ABLS should work all the time and has no clue why the pedal would have mashed to the floor during shut down. I hope they can get this resolved. Seems like a serious problem.
