Has anybody noticed the Rockford Fosgate Stereo goes in and out or more like a muffled sound then it gets louder?  It is very annoying and seems to be connected to acceleration and decceleration, does anyone know what this is or has it been reported?

Confused

Regards

Have you looked at the manual? The radio is speed based, as are the wipers. It will get louder as you go faster and softer as you slow down. The wipers will do the same thing.

The radio setting is adjustable depending on your configuration. If you have the Nav package, it is as simple as pressing the right dial a few times as you are driving. This same process adjusts the bass, treble, midrange and a few other options. If you dont have the Nav package, read the manual.

Thanks I found that however I still have problems with muffled sound on certain local stations.  While only a couple of the locals are crystal clear.  It is wierd you know.  It seems to me that there was an awful lot of hipe about the RF and I find it to be so so.  I am not sure that the center speaker or wolfer is working properly it seems to be intermitten as well.  Oh well I am talking to the dealer this weekend and asking if something can and should be done about it.

texas titan,

hit the audio button (the big knob on the right side opposite the volume knob) the same one you use to adjust the bass, treble and fade, etc. there is a setting for SSV - which stands for speed sensitive volume - if you don't like the increase and decrease in sound you may turn it off. hopefully this helps as it has helped me
