I have a 2004 Titan 4x4 SE with the big tow pkg. I am going to change the front and rear differential oil with Mobil 1 synthetic gear lubricant. I have read that under severe conditions the stock oil will break down overheat and cause failure. Mobil 1 has two available a 75W140 and 75W90, The owners manual lists SAE 80 . Which one of the Mobil 1 products would be the best to use?

I just bought some 75/90 Mobil 1 for my titan.

But I really don't think it makes a difference. Use what ever makes you feel better.

I have always preferred oils with the smallest viscosity range because it mean there are less of little threads (forgot what they are called, they change size depending on temperature) and more pure oil.
