Anyone own one of the Advance Folding Bed covers.  They say they utilize the utility track and I'm curious if anyone has any experience?

Thanks!

The Bed extender should already have the utility track installed.

The trucks I looked at with the bed extender all had the utility track in them.  I didn't know you could  go the other way.  The Advance cover wants you to have the utility track.  Fold-a-cover wants you to either not have it or modify it, so either way there is an option.

If you go to http://www.advancecover.com/ and put your zip in you will see where your nearest dealer is.  It can be ordered on the web and shipped to your house, but I've not seen it under $600 on the web.  My dealer nearest dealer to Omaha quoted me $550, but I've not got it for that yet, so i won't know if that price is right till Monday.

I purchased the Extang cover on the recommendation of my dealer. I was assured it would fit the bed even with the track sys installed. No dice. The brackets they supply won't work with the track...but....I thought about it for a couple of minutes, noticed a shallow groove in the mounting brackets and decided to cut all 6 of them. I cut them a bit farther up than the groove but I was able to clamp down the brackets tightly.

Extang explained they have engineering "working" on this  I told him I had the solution already. Nice thing is I keep the hex wrench in the rear storage compartment along with other goodies: tow straps, clevis and the bed clamps.

I'm enjoying this truck... alot.
