Hello-

When I purchased my Titan from the dealer I had to sign a document that indicated that the dealer explained to me that I should NOT use snow chains on my 2-wheel drive Titan. The dealer really didn’t know why I shouldn’t use chains, only that the Nissan said I shouldn’t. Anyone else have to sign something like this, and does anyone know what the issue with snow chains on a Titan would be?

Thanks

Sounds like a bunch of bull to me. Here in Wash. when the traction advisories go out and passes require chains you had better have them on. My dealer never brought it up, if they did, nobody would buy a Nissan in this state because you cannot drive. Awhile back the road was closed outside of Pendleton Or. heading up into the blue Mts. by our friendly troopers. Long story short, pull over, put on chains or turn around.

I have never checked but I think car manufacturers policy on this is they won't void the warranty, but will not be responsible for damages caused by chains to your vehicle. Call Nissan

Good Luck

I owuld think that this would more apley to a 4 wheel drive because of transfer case problems causeing the back to become slightly larger than the front.

But i would no think 2 wheel would apley to this it is just Bs Talk from the Manf. dont worry about it
