Can anyone tell me the height of there trucks with lifts. I want to lift my truck but park underground with a posted 6'7 inch limit. Im thinking that a 2wheel with a 6 inch lift and 33's might makeit.

Thanks

Think about this, how important is a lift to you. And if it is really important to you then lift it, and if it does not fit then park somewhere else. But only if it is important to you, parking maybe more of an importance in which case you must then decide if a lift is really necessary. So really it is what is important to you parking or lifting. But I dont see why you would want to lift a 2 wheel drive. But anyhow if it was me and I wanted to lift it I would just find other parking and make the sacrifice if it didnt fit. But what about parking in your garage at home thats what I would be worried about.

Mav's top five reasons to lift a 2wd:

Gas mileage is too high and you want to get closer to that optimum 12mpg    everybody else is complaining about.

It's just too easy to see cars, objects or children behind you and you feel parking lots should be more of a challenge.

You live in San Francisco and the approch / departure angles on some of those hills are pretty severe.

You live in the Sacramento valley and don't want the interior to get wet during the floods.

You're Yao Ming's big brother and it's difficult stooping so far down to get into your truck.

My truck is just stock height, I have been thinking about lowering the rear, but I think that might create a problem when I tow my boat......but I do only tow it about once or twice a year. It usually stays in the marina.......I think I might lower my truck. I dont know. I probably won't though.

I have the CST 8" lift with 37" tires. 2WD.  It is less than 7 ft. tall. I can go through the automatic car wash and park in garages less than 7ft.  My gas milage is only off about 2 mph.    As you all know it wasn't too far off from that "optimum" 12 mpg to start with!  I frequently find small animals and children stuck up under the truck.  I love a challege, and since I live in FL. the lift will help aid in keeping the water out when it floods during the hurricane season.

I have a 3 inch lift with 35s,  My truck sits way under 7 foot.  I drive it in parking garages all the time.  MPG only droped to 13 around town and it's still pretty high on the HW.   The truck comes stock with 33inch tires, Why lift it and keep the 33s.  Might as well not lift it just put on a level kit for the front.  Save some money.  They are under 200 bucks.  I got mine from nitrousenterprises.com  A pic of my truck is on their web site now too.

Chris,

Well, a combonation of the 6" lift and 37" tires caused my drop in gas mileage.  I had no problems with the lift installation.  It is not easy, took about 9 hours with two guys.  That did include the rear which has the deaver springs.  That actually took longer than it should have because the pins in the spring pack were too long and until the spring is installed is when you notice it, so back out it came and I had to take apart the spring pack and get smaller pins, then reinstall.
